Since its opening in 1962, the gallery has shown flair for exhibiting artists little known in Switzerland, such as Jean Dubuffet, Sam Francis, Alicia Penalba, Tapiès, in addition to well-known “stars” like Pierre Soulages, Jaume Plensa, Giuseppe Penone, Philippe Cognée, or Anne and Patrick Poirier. Many prestigious names that today belong to the history of contemporary art – or of Art itself – rub shoulders in the gallery’s records. Alice Pauli promotes her artists beyond the confines of the canton de Vaud, by attending international events like Art Basel or the Fiac in Paris, and through her collaborations with Swiss and international museums.
