Espace des Pas Perdus

Created in 1932, the Fonds des Arts Plastiques de la Ville (FAP) in Lausanne has collected to date nearly 2000 works by 370 artists from Lausanne or canton Vaud, representing local artistic creation since the beginning of the 20th century, using all techniques. Some of these works can be seen in the streets of Lausanne as well as in municipal administration premises: schools, reception rooms of public departments, offices, etc. An online database allows the public to access the entire collection, carefully inventoried and in large part photographed. In 2014, the Fonds moved into a new space, entirely dedicated to it on the premises of Lausanne City Hall (Hôtel de Ville). Inaugurated in February 2016, Espace des Pas Perdus thus participates in drawing attention to the Fonds and the artists it supports, at the rate of two or three shows a year. Some artists held in the FAP collections: René Auberjonois, Géa Augsbourg, Pietro Sarto, Alice Bailly, Francine Simonin, Milo Martin, Emmanuelle Antille, Catherine Bolle, Marcel Imsand, Monique Jacot, Olivier Saudan, Massimo Furlan, Jean Lecoultre, Mathieu Gafsou, Elise Gagnebin-de Bons, François Kohler, Joël Tettamanti, David Hominal.
