The Marc Jancou gallery was established in Zurich in 1991. Jancou first represented established artists before taking an interest in emerging talents. The gallery then expanded to London in 1996. Marc Jancou Contemporary opened in New York in 2003 as a resource for emerging and established artists, as well as for the collectors of their work. From 2006 to 2007, a gallery residency programme was based at Galerie Me.di.um on the island of Saint-Barthélemy in the Caribbean, making 25 residencies and a few shows possible. 2011 saw the opening of a second exhibition space in Geneva, in the heart of the artistic life of the Quartier des Bains. This new space seeks to create a transatlantic creative dialogue and a cultural bridge between the artistic communities of New York and Europe.
