La Placette

La Placette is a contemporary art space that opened in December 2004. Initially located at the rue des Terreaux, this space is restricted to a shop window where a work by a difference artist is shown every month, responding to the previous one, as to the form or the substance. In 2012, la Placette moved to the rue Pré-du-Marché where it occupies the window of a former Hi-Fi shop. The concept remains identical – a 2 x 3,5-metre shop window that welcomes one artist per month – but the gallery now has a 21 m2 back room to present other works related to the one in the window. La Placette practices affordable prices.
