LiveInYourHead

Created in 2009 by Jean-Pierre Greff, director of Head – Geneva, LiveInYourHead uses the former premises of the Attitudes – espace d’arts contemporains art centre, then directed by Olivier Kaeser and Jean-Paul Felley, co-directors of the Swiss Cultural Centre in Paris. The christening of this new space is a tribute to the 1969 exhibition at the Kunsthalle in Berne by the famous Swiss curator Harald Szeemann, of which it was the subtitle (When Attitudes Become Form: Live in Your Head). Forty years later, LiveInYourHead intended to pursue the intellectual heritage incarnated in Szeemann by showing the creative process as it develops in situations of educational exchanges. Open to students from all departments of Head – Geneva, LiveInYourHead implicates participants at all levels (design and research, production and hanging, outreach and communication, publication, etc.) and takes them on an adventure in which the portion of the unknown, of seeking, of risk is essential.Neither a simple school gallery nor a traditional art centre, each year this space offers a series of personalities from various horizons the opportunity to carry out a specific original project (work, show, projection, encounter, festival, event or other invented form) in close collaboration with a group of students.
