Théâtre de Vidy

Installed in a building designed by artist and architect Max Bill for Expo 64,the Théâtre de Vidy offers a rich and varied programme. Theatre, dance, circus, all make this space ideal for contemporary creation. The theatre takes particular care of its audiences, as the cultural offer is completed by events that help them better understand the world of the stage: introductions to the performances one hour before, courses on the history of stage direction, encounters with artists… Debates, lectures and projections are also organised, relating or not to the current programme. As a space for exchanges par excellence, the Théâtre de Vidy is ideally located on the shores of the lake and has four venues, of which one outdoor tent, a foyer-bar, which sometimes hosts exhibitions and a bookshop.
